“Prosser, Grandview, Sunnyside Youth Soccer and Tri-Cities Youth are excited to announce our merger. This merger allows for a more diverse recreational program, continually growing in numbers, and allows for competitive soccer from the Lower Valley though the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas. Teams will be formed and play starting Fall 2019. We are so excited to be working together to grow the beautiful game!” -TCYSA Board
Prosser Youth Soccer has decided to partner with Tri-Cities Youth Soccer Association, looking to maintain our focus on providing youth soccer to local players. Our previous alignment with YYSA has been discontinued as YYSA was absorbed by SOZO Sports this past January. Along with this change, our work toward having games split between home and away fields, providing youth soccer at a reasonable fee along with having the same overall organization goals was eliminated.
For the U6 – U8 program, the change will be seamless. We will continue to practice and play locally against teams from Grandview and Sunnyside. The fee will be maintained at $60 per player for the full season, 6 weeks in the Fall and 6 weeks in the Spring.
For the U9 and older program, our teams will be still be formed locally by city, practice locally, but all games will be played at TCYSA’s complex in Pasco. TCYSA’s season runs the same as we have experienced the past couple of years with YYSA, 8 weeks in the Fall and 8 weeks in the Spring. TCYSA’s full season fee is $160 per player. They have agreed to a tiered fee structure as we make this change so for this first year the Lower Valley player fee will be $100 per player. Prosser Youth Soccer has opted out of adding any fee to maintain our program at this point, so that $100 per player all goes to TCYSA for insurance, field maintenance and referee funding. TCYSA has a standard uniform for their teams. Lower Valley Teams will be able to continue to chose their own team uniforms. This will also help keep costs down for our local teams.
TCYSA uses the StackSports system for registering players. StackSports was previously known as Bonzi, so if you have had players registered prior to last year with PYS, you will already have an account established. Players can be registered via the TCYSA Registration page – Click Here Please remember to list your requested coach, if any. Team placement is not guaranteed, but we will work to accommodate all requests.
We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work through this change and are looking forward to continuing to bring a strong, growing recreational youth soccer program to the lower valley.
